- 3. SUPPLIES AND PERSONAL ASSISTANCE
Aid stations will be placed at the points described on the road book:
Use our interactive maps and click on the links for Google directions!
The principle of an individual race in semi-autonomy is the rule. Semi-autonomy is defined as having the ability to be autonomous between 2 refueling stations, as much in terms of food as clothing and safety, making it possible to adapt to the problems encountered or foreseen (weather, problems physical, injuries, etc.). It is also for this reason that we obtained these ITRA qualifying points and that the GT160 also qualifies for the Western States draw.
Supplies are only accessible to participants.
You must have your own personal cup and cutlery!
A detailed table will be sent to you by email.
- 4.GPX Track
Having the GPX track loaded on your watch/smartphone is an OBLIGATION for the GT160, GT85. The routes will be 100% marked BUT unmarking is unfortunately more and more frequent and is beyond our control. External batteries are therefore recommended for smartphone use! Each runner is warned and is responsible for the way in which he operates in the event of a problem.
These routes take many private passages that are not accessible outside the trail.
We are trusted by owners. Don’t break it by borrowing them outside of the GTLC weekend.
GPX file will send personnaly on Thursday by email.
No GPX for GT42, GT20², GT16…
- 5. FEED
All along the route, you will follow white arrows, with an orange tip. They all have a reflective tab. For the non-wooded parts, orange markings on the ground will show you the direction. The big circle corresponds to your position.
An example of a bifurcation dowload the roadbook !
- 6. LIVE TRACKING (GPS tracking)
For 2 distances: GT160 / GT85, for security reasons, you will receive a Legends Tracking beacon on your departure to attach to your shopping bag and put back on arrival.
This GPS chip will be given when you collect your envelope (compulsory).
So we will know at all times where you are and your companions and your biggest fans too!
Just for you: POP UP!!!
From Saturday 21 May at 4 a.m., a “pop up” will be available on our website www.grandtrail.be.
This will allow you or your companions to choose one of the 2 links above for live streaming. By clicking on the cross, you will return to the basic website.

- 7. RESCUE - REPATRIATION - ABANDONMENT
!!! HELP Station:
If you get injured between 2 official aid stations: Stop at these markers.
What to do ? Call the race headquarters 0471 20 36 21
Give the name of your Help Station (example: H12)
Your bib number.
We will then organize your repatriation to the Ovifat base.
If you can, still prefer the help stations of the supplies.
For a less serious injury, call PC Course. Enter it into your phone. It is also written on your bib.
For serious injury: In case of emergency, call 112
First aid station: A first aid station provided by the non-profit organization OASIS, made up of certified persons, will be provided on the Ovifat site from Saturday 4.30 p.m. to Sunday 4.30 p.m.
In the event of abandonment or injury, your personal bags (drop bag) will be repatriated to the Ovifat site as soon as possible. The refueling staff will be responsible for transmitting the information to the race PC.
Flaggers and Highway Code
Although we have a great team of volunteers as signallers, each participant will have to comply with the rules of the road. Road crossings are made under the full responsibility of the runners, with waiver of any recourse against the organizers in the event of damage and subsequent consequences that may occur during your race. When you registered you checked the little box that says you have read and accepted the rules on our website.
You will be stopped if you exceed the hours. The hourly average is very very broad.
The barriers are calculated according to your specific departure times.
We know it can be difficult to accept failure with so much preparation ahead of time.
If we insist on time barriers, it is only for your safety.
Don’t blame our great team of volunteers who only follow our instructions and who are on site for your well-being and safety.
- 8. RULES FOR FOLLOWERS AND ACCOMPANIERS (FAN ZONE)
On our website www.grandtrail.be you will find interactive maps on your race page.
Clicking on the dot gives you the Google route!
It is forbidden to accompany or be accompanied (pacer, mountain bike, etc.) on any part of the race route by a person not registered for the race under penalty of penalty or disqualification (see rules).

Your companions will be able to go to viewpoints, crossing points, and find supply points quite easily.
