Know how to face, without outside help, climatic conditions that could be very difficult to manage (night, wind, cold, fog, rain, frost);
Knowing how to manage, even when isolated, physical or mental problems resulting from great fatigue, digestive problems, muscle or joint pain, small wounds …
Be fully aware that the role of the organization is not to help a runner deal with these problems;

Inform and educate members of the runner’s entourage to respect nature, people and the rules of the race.Agree to receive newsletters providing information about the event.
- 7. Semi autonomy
-
The principle of an individual race in semi-autonomy is the rule. The GTLC events take place in a single stage, at an indefinite pace, within the time limits which are specified for each event. Semi-autonomy is defined as having the ability to be autonomous between two refueling stations, as much in terms of food as that of clothing and security, allowing to adapt to the problems encountered or foreseen (weather, problems physical, injuries …)
This principle implies in particular the following rules:
Each runner must have all of his compulsory equipment with him throughout the duration of the race (see paragraph 8. EQUIPMENT). At any time during the race, the pack and its contents can be checked by race officials. The runner is required to submit to these checks in good faith, at the risk of being excluded from the race.
Refueling stations provide food and drink for consumption on site. The organization only provides plain water or an energy drink for refilling water bottles or hydration packs. When leaving the refreshment post, riders must ensure that they have enough food and drink to allow them to continue to the next refreshment post.
Personal assistance is tolerated exclusively in all refreshment stations, in the area specifically reserved for this use. Assistance can only be provided by one person, without specific equipment other than a bag with a maximum volume of 30 liters. Assistance given by a team of professionals, or any doctor or paramedical, is strictly prohibited. The rest of the supplies are strictly reserved for runners.
It is forbidden to accompany or be accompanied on any part of the course of the race by a person not registered for the race, outside the tolerance zones clearly indicated near the refreshments, i.e. 50 meters before the post and 50 meters after the refreshment post
It is prohibited at all other refreshment stations, as well as at any other point on the course.

In order to ensure their safety and the smooth running of each event, each participant must have at their disposal all the compulsory equipment from the list, detailed below.
Each participant must therefore present their compulsory equipment, in order to collect their bib, and agree to keep it with them for the duration of the event.
It is important to note that the equipment imposed by the organizers is a vital minimum that each trail runner must adapt according to his own abilities. In particular, they should not choose the lightest possible clothes to save a few grams but opt for clothes which really offer good protection against the cold, the wind and the frost, the snow, which therefore offer better safety and protection. better performance.

Athletes participating in the competition are required to familiarize themselves with these rules as well as the control, sanction and appeal procedures.

- 10. Insurance
-
Competitors are invited to take out accident insurance. This should cover the potential costs of rescue operations and treatment. Any claim for damages by competitors against the race organizer, whatever its legal reason, is void.
The costs resulting from the use of exceptional emergency means must be paid by the rescued person who must also pay for his return from the place where he was evacuated. It is up to the runner to create his file and present it to his insurance company within the time limit.
