GT 80 - 2026 Belgian Long-Distance Championship

The ultimate challenge of the GTLC Winter.

The GT80 will cover a course of approximately 80 km with over 2,800 meters of elevation gain, offering a challenging experience reserved for the most seasoned trail runners.

In 2026, the Grand Trail des Lacs et Châteaux will host the Belgian Long-Distance Trail Championships, making the GT80 the highlight of the event. This exceptional race will bring together the country’s top athletes, as well as anyone ready to take on an extraordinary challenge.

A major new feature this year: for the first time, the course will venture into the heart of the Hautes Fagnes. This legendary, wild, and unique stretch will further highlight the exceptional nature of this race.

The route, which is both challenging and immersive, will take you through deep valleys, dense forests, and iconic landscapes: the Warche Valley, Tros Marets, ridgelines, sweeping views, and more secluded areas where nature reigns supreme.

The GT80 is much more than just a race: it’s an adventure, a test of one’s limits, where strategy, endurance, and mental toughness will make all the difference.

After all that effort comes the thrill: the thrill of crossing the finish line to cheers, with the feeling of having had a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

A challenge designed to bring out your wild side.
