The GTLC, Grand Trail des Lacs et Châteaux, takes place on Saturday May 29 and Sunday May 30, over 5 major distances: 16, 20, 43, 84 and 165 km! Plus races for kids. All this from a new site, the Ovifat downhill ski slope, and a new organizing team, including Aline Lejeune, who is our guest this Sunday evening on Vision Sports.

It's a Covid edition, of course, with a host of measures in place, but none of which will detract from the trailers' enjoyment of the region, including Reinhardstein Castle, Robertville Lake, and Vielsalm, where the long-distance race will go all the way. Registration closed a long time ago, and 1,700 lucky runners will be lining up for the various distances, including the 20 km in teams of 2. While the majority of runners will be Belgian, many of them from Flanders, there will also be French, Dutch, German and even Hungarian participants. For the record, the first starts of the 165 km will be given at 4 a.m. on Saturday 29th, with the last arrivals scheduled to take place, at most, 40 hours later, on Sunday evening 30th.
