A little history

In the beginning, there was a race: the Grand Trail des Lacs et Châteaux (GTLC for those in the know). The valiant runners traversed the narrow paths of the Belgian Ardennes, linking lakes and castles by night and day, along wild rivers, and arriving exhausted but happy, after a journey of over 100 km, for the most enduring of them.

By the time they arrived, after such an adventure, they were a little thirsty...

This led to the idea of the organizing team to create its own beer: Grande Bière des Lacs et Châteaux (GBLC), which appeared symbolically for the 10th anniversary edition of the event.

We wanted this beer to be brewed locally, in a short circuit, and to correspond to our values and preferences. The recipe was developed with passion by the team, shift managers and volunteers.

A collaborative effort by real enthusiasts who love nature and pushing themselves to the limit.

La Grande Bière des Lacs et Châteaux was born! An inspiring American Pale Ale with plenty of hops, it's been a sportsman's delight ever since, and we can't wait to share it with you.
